Community Assistance Center
Community Assistance Center (CAC) provides basic needs assistance for neighbors to prevent homelessness and hunger while promoting self-sufficiency and empowering them to thrive. CAC is a cornerstone of the human services network in the northern Perimeter area. Since 1987, CAC has played a vital role in the cities of Sandy Springs and Dunwoody by preventing hunger and homelessness, providing assistance for basic needs such as utilities, food and clothing, and actively engaging clients to work towards greater self-sufficiency.
Atlanta Habitat for Humanity
We work to build an Atlanta where all people have access to quality affordable homeownership in safe, vibrant neighborhoods with opportunities to thrive. Atlanta Habitat enables individuals and families to thrive by taking a comprehensive, targeted neighborhood revitalization approach. We are engaged in key conversations about affordable homeownership policy both locally and nationally.
Atlanta Mission
Atlanta Mission is the city’s largest and longest-running provider of services to homeless men, women and children. They transform, through Christ, the lives of those facing homelessness, poverty, and addiction. The Atlanta Mission meets each person where they are, in their unique circumstances, to provide customized services to help them overcome the cause of their homelessness.
Furniture Bank of Metro Atlanta
The Furniture Bank of Metro Atlanta provides free furniture and household good to individuals and families moving out of homelessness, living with HIV/AIDS, or fleeing domestic violence. Their mission is to create stability for families and individuals in need. By distributing donated furniture to those in need we turn their houses into homes.
